A glimpse into my story
I am a Minneapolis-based mixed-media artist specializing in photography through digital, traditional film, and alternative processes to explore and document the world. My work connects conceptual ideas with their relationship to light, the fundamental component of photography. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Art History from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
By intersecting photography with sculpture, I developed a reductive process, removing material to create images. This technique offers a novel approach to archiving in photography, with images that can withstand various environmental conditions and remain unchanged for centuries, unlike contemporary archival photographic methods.
